Fun at the Mall.

Merry Christmas to our sister Barrie Lynne who is celebrating in Heaven. We love you and miss you.
We posted this poem on here before and thought we would post it again in Memory of Barrie Lynne.
April

God made a sweet child
a child who never grew old
He made a smile of sunshine
He molded a heart of pure gold.
He made that child as close to an angel
as anyone ever could be
God made a Sweet Child
and He gave that dear child to me.
Then God saw His wonderful creation
growing very tired and weak
so He wrapped the child in His loving arms
and said, "you my child I keep"
But now my Sweet Child is an angel
Free from hurt and pain
We will love you forever, until we meet again
So many times we have missed you
So many times We have cried
If all our love could have saved you
Sweet Child you never would have died.

If there was ever an Angel on this earth Barrie Lynne was definitely one of them. She was always happy and her beautiful smile lit the entire world. Most people in the world are fake as a three dollar bill, especially their put on smile and attitude. You can sense it as soon as you in contact with them, but Barrie Lynne was a real true, genuine person who was loved by everyone whom she came in contact with. She never complained

even though she went through so much. No one knows the story of her life, but her siblings and parents. The doctors made a mistake by placing a shunt from the brain to a kidney with an infection. They didn't know she had a kidney infection until the procedure was done. By this time her fever had reached 106 and she went into a coma. She stayed in this coma for three months. My mom was only a teenager at the time, so she thought the doctors knew what they were doing . Evidently not. They also had student doctors performing the surgery. After the damage was done, my parents had her transferred to a hospital in Richmond. The Chief of Pediatric neurosurgery told my parents they should have sued for the mistake. As long as he's been practicing Neurosurgery he had never heard of a shunt being placed from the brain to the kidney, especially in little girls because they are very prone to urinary tract and kidney infections.
My parents knew that no amount of money would bring her health back and they didn't want to go public about what happened, so they did not sue. All because of this mistake she lost her kidney and complications from this led to her death. This is only part of the story. Before she was transferred to another hospital she had already undergone 28 surgeries. All of them were shunt replacements. My mom weighed 105 pounds before Barrie Lynne became sick and when she came home from the hospital she weighed 80 pound. My grandpa didn't recognize her because she was so thin. She said it was worst than a consetration camp. All of this from lack of food and sleep. After Barrie Lynne was transferred. the neurosurgeon was trying to correct the damage that was done at the previous hospital. He took her off the seizure medications, perform a VP Shunt from the brain to the stomach and she never had another problem until her death 10 years later and it was kidney related from the first surgery. Her new neurosurgeon in Richmond was her Honorary Pall Bearer at her funeral. and has kept in contact with the family over the years. In the past he has taken the children horse back riding, canoeing and fishing and we got to spend a weekend trip at his home in South Carolina. He even did a puppet show with the family.

My parents adopted a paraplegic Russian Child in 1994 and raised him with no help from anyone. People tell us frequently that God is really going to bless you guys. . He has blessed us in so many ways already. No amount of money could pay for the blessings and I believe more will come.
My mom is pregnant with her 13th child and Gabriel and Mandee are pregnant with their first.

My mom is hoping to write a book, so it should be a best seller.

This is April and I thought I would share this.

Several months before Gabriel graduated from the University of Virginia he did a lot of research on our family ancestry such as the Eades, Snyder, Talbott, Robertson,Dowdy' ect My great great grandfather was Jeremiah Talbott,a Cherokee Indian and the Founder of Gretna,Va He was my mom's grandfather. You can visit his Marker at the Train Junction in Gretna.
I thought first I would post what Gabriel wrote and research on the Eades Family and if anyone would like to read about the other family ancestry just let me know.

Our family originated in the UK, around Worcestershire; we've traced lineage back to the early 1600s in England...though the Eades name has/had many variants, such as Eads, Edes, Edds, supposedly from an Old English/Gaelic word "Eade" meaning wealth or riches...though some have suggested Dutch ancestry dating back to the 1300s or even back to the ... Read MoreNorman Conquest (It would take a substantial amount of evidence to prove this lineage, though there's most likely an English/Irish connection.) Our "Eades" that came to America, did so between the mid 17th and early 18th Century, landing in [Boston] Massachussetts.
Towards the middle of the 18th century (around 1740 or so) our branch of the Eades bought land in Albermarle Co/Charlottesville Virginia..eventually, the family would move throughout VA, some settling around Gladys/Altavista (Bedford/Campbell County) and others moved west into westernVirginia and Kentucky. Eades is not a common name in the U.S ... Read Moreeither; estimates put number of individuals at around 5,000+...not counting other variants such as Eads, Edds, etc. The Eades from the UK were/are a Sept (one of many Septs) of the Scottish Clan Gordon...which means that the smaller Eades family pledged their allegience to the larger, more powerful Gordon family (clan) for protection against other clans. We are very interested in family history, especially international connections.
