The Girl I Used to Be

She came tonight as I sat alone . . .
The girl I used to be . . .
And she gazed at me with her earnest eye

The great career, the splendid fame,

Where is the mansion of stately height

For I wanted her pleased with me . . .
This slender girl from the shadowy past
The girl that I used to be.

So gently rising, I took her hand
And guided her up the stairs
Where peacefully sleeping, my babies lay
Innocent, sweet, and fair.

And I told her that these are my only gems,
And precious they are to me;
That silken robes is my motherhood
Of costly simplicity.

And my mansion of stately height is love,
And the only career I know
Is serving each day in these sheltered walls
For the dear ones who come and go

And as I spoke to my shadowy guest,
She smiled through her tears at me.
And I saw the woman that I am now
Pleased the girl I used to be.

Levi is one week old in this picture

Levi weighed 7 lbs 7 ozs and Luke weighed 7 lbs and 8 ozs. Both babies were conceived at the same time through In Vitro Fertilization. Luke was transferred as an eight cell and Levi was frozen on day five as a blastocysts so they are considered as fraternal twins.

Below is my mom's beautiful niece Casie, aunt Rose's daughter and also my mom's niece Daisy's daughter. She is so adorable. Her grandparents are Billy and Vickie Snyder of South Boston, Va.

Thought I would also share that two more babies are on the way in our family. Both due in March and we are so excited.

My mom said some day when she has time she was going to sit down and write what she went through to have her miracle babies and its no laughing matter what she is going to share with everyone because i know first hand what she went through but she said it was worth it all.

Seth and Sienna underwent a physical today with their pediatrician and was in the 97th percentile for their growth and development. He said they were doing great and were very smart and well mannered children.

Luke and Levi are twins born two separate years and they are beginning to look exactly alike.

I was searching through my pictures and found some of the cutest ones of the twins when they were small and here are a few with mom. She just gave birth to them through surgery in the picture below. and it was taken several hours after their birth.

Dr. Seuss Reading Lunch hour with older brother Adam. and each child made their own Dr. Seuss hat.

School will be starting in August and Mom has decided to home school the kids since they are so busy with karate, gymnastics and music. She has a copy of the Standard of Learning information and will be using her own curriculum. Whats so nice is that she has her own library. and is planning on taking them on all sorts of educational field trips such as the Virginia Science Museum, Planetarian,farms, animal shelters, colleges and ect. Seth, Sienna and Noah are so sociable and talks to everyone they see unlike us older children. We took them to the Kids Cove the other day to play and eat and when we turned our backs to get them some food they were at a table with another family talking to them like they were their children. They have never met a stranger and have the personality of an Angel.

Baby Levi had a 102 degree fever for the last couple of nights so we took him to his pediatrician on our way to the Karate. School. A blood test revealed that he did not have an infection which was really good news. The doctor said a lot of children had been sick with different viruses and this is probably what was causing his high fever. My mom stayed up with him all night last night and the night before last. Hopefully he will feel better soon. He is such an adorable cute little baby and is always happy even when he is sick.

Since my mom had so many CliffordThe Big Red Dogs and Clifford Books, we decided to have a Clifford reading party so my mom pulled out her collectible Cliffords and Clifford books and each of us read a Clifford book or Clifford weekly reader to the younger children, We ended the party with a family Clifford pillow fight. See if you can find baby Levi taking a nap with the Clifford dogs. Next week we are having a Dr. Seuss reading party. with over one thousand Dr, Seuss books.

Seth, Sienna and Noah started Gymnastics today. I took more videos than pictures and the videos are too long to upload on the blog. Hopefully I will have Nikolai downsize them in the next couple of days. He does really well with things like this among repairing everyone's computer. His dream is to become a Computer Software Engineer. He can't start college until my parents get his Birth Certificate in English and an American Seal. stamped on it They also have to go through the Immigration Dept. After this he will be able to get his State ID and start college.

Anyhow the children are so busy. We traveled to Lynchburg five days a week and they have classes now back to back. The twins will graduate with a green belt in Karate on June 27th. This will be their fourth belt and Noah will graduate with a yellow belt. Hopefully by the time they are seven they will have their first black belt in Martial Arts. We hope they will stick with karate until they have a fifth or six black belt and then they will be able to teach at the school A few Gymnastics photos. Also, this school trained for the Olympics.

Congratulations to my twin sister and brother, Sienna and Seth who will be graduating and receiving their green belt in martial arts(karate) next week.Congratulations also to my brother Noah who will be getting his yellow one. This will be Seth and Sienna's fourth belt and they are working towards their black belt. They will start gymnastics this week also.

I looked on child rearing not only as work of love and duty but as a profession that was fully as interesting and challenging as any honorable profession in the world and one that demanded the best I could bring to it.

Baby Levi gets cuter and cuter by the day and it is so hard to believe that he was frozen in a test tube for eighteen months. What a true Miracle!... Mom always has beautiful babies and she's been very fortunate to carry them so well and she always has the easiest pregnancies, including her surgeries.Even with the twins she did very well. She never gains much weight, never brags about her happy experiences and her pregnancies are just perfect..I think she should be a spokesperson for pregnant woman. .Hopefully in the future she will have another baby, as she still has several frozen children left and the fee is outrageously expensive to keep them this way. I think this was her calling to be a mom. In the past, she has worked for several Mental Health Agencies and even had her own company and she hated it, even though the income was great and of course with a job like this the stress was nothing but detrimental. . Her motto is to be happy is more important than money. Mom's dream came true when God blessed her with a set of fraternal boy/girl twins in 2006 and three more boys followed, five children in five years a total of 13 and hopefully counting. This also includes a Russian paraplegic child my parents adopted. Who else would do such a courageous thing, especially knowing the challenges they had to face? God has blessed them for this heroic deed and I see Him continually blessing them.
She followed her dream and it came true. People are always talking about their vacations, new boats, cars, bank accounts, overseas trips and going to the tanning salons. Well more power to them if this is what they want to do. They have to remember that pleasures only last for a season but the gifts from God lasts a lifetime and a child is one of those precious gifts. They bring more happiness and joy you can ever imagine. They are indeed a lot of work, but the work turns into joy and happiness especially when you have patience, love and understanding. I know people may thinks this is unethecal but I'm thinking about going through IVF myself and having a baby, thats if I"m not married by the next couple of years. Seriously, I've been saving my money. My mom has never been to the beach or seen the ocean or even been on a vacation, something she chose not to do. I witnessed a dermatologist in an elevator in NC once telling her that she had the most beautiful skin and he could tell she has never been exposed to the sun or tanning salons.
She told him she was there for IVF and that her children are her sunshine, vacations, mission trips and ect and this is all the sunshine she needs and he told her that she was making a great investment. There's so much more to write about but I have other things I have todo now. Until next time, April

Happy Birthday to our grandpapa, our mom's dad. He served in the US Army for many years,. He stepped on a mine and was left to die. When he was finally found he was rushed to a Japanese hospital . Numerous surgeries were performed including amputation of his arm and leg. He is the father of ten children, 28 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was humble and never brag about what he did for our country and other people. Most of all he taught his children to be strong.

Guess who's taking karate and is doing really well with it, you guess Noah the prodigy child. See the video below.. He needs to work on his jumping jacks but other than that he is right on track.

Noah started reading at age 2 and is now reading and spelling fourth and fifth grade words and he is only 3. If you come for a visit, he will make you spell words before you can leave.

Levi weighs 10 lbs and 2 ozs and resembles Barrie Lynne and Noah. He is such a cute little boy.

Levi Albert Eades was born April 6. He was 21 inches long and weighed 7.7 lbs

After a week of spring break, the children started back to Karate School. Here is one video of their first day back

Levi saw his Pediatrician on Thursday and he said he was cute as a button and very healthy. He said he just saw my mom last month when Noah went for his check up and he had no idea she was expecting and that she hid it very well. Mom told him that Levi was from one of her frozen embryos and was a twin to Luke. He thought this was just Amazing. God certainly works Miracles.

Pictured below you will see mom three thawed out embryos that were implanted in 2011. They started out as twins and the twin wasn't strong enough to make it but Levi did very well during the entire process. He had been frozen for 17 months and is also a twin to Luke. These cells are what embryologist called blastocysts the highest cells. Seth and Sienna were eight and nine cells, Noah and Luke were eight cells and the embryos that are still frozen are 6, eight and ten cells.

We have so many great pictures of mom's surgery but some of them are really surgically involved including suturing and blood so I left them off. So everyone would know she is back to her normal self including driving and she looks like she has never giving birth which means she weighs less than she did before she got pregnant. What a great recovery? Below is a picture of my dad and how excited he was.

Luke is seventeen months and can already recite and recognize his alphabet but you have to hear Noah read a third grade book and he's only three.

These two picture were taken on Easter monday, three days after mom underwent surgery. I'm not in

the picture because I had just gotten back from a shopping spree, shopping for all the after Easter Specials, so I took the pictures and requested a retake. I will definitely be in the next ones. April

The Miracle Birth of Levi Albert Eades.

Levi Albert Eades was born on April 6, 2012. He was born by a Classical Caesarean Section which involves a midline longitudinal incision which allows a larger space to deliver the baby. It is rarely performed today as it is more prone to complications such as blood loss, rupturing and kidney damage. The lower uterine segment section is the procedure most commonly used today. It involves a transverse cut just above the edge of the bladder and results in less blood loss and is easier to repair. Betty, our mom beat all odds with no complications. This was also her 12th classical Cesarean Section the most in the world by one person. She was home from the hospital within two days and is back to normal.
Levi was conceived in 2010 along with his brother Luke Abram through In Vitro Fertilization at a Fertility Clinic in Raleigh, NC. Luke was transferred and was born the latter part of 2010 and Levi was frozen in a test tube for later use so the two are fraternal twins born two separate years.
My family considered this a miraculous birth because the chances of a low cell frozen embryo even implanting is very slim. Levi weighed 7lb 7 oz and was 21 inches long and was very healthy. He was delivered by Wade Neiman, MD, OBGYN at Virginia Baptist Hospital. There's eight boys and five girls including a set of boy/girl twins, a three year old and a one year old and a newborn all through science. In 1995 our parents adopted a child from an orphanage in St.Petersburg, Russia. We considered our mom the bravest and the strongest in the world and she is definitely an inspiration to everyone she meets as no one has endure what she had to go through to make her dreams come true.

Levi Albert Eades was born by C section on April 6 with no complications. He is healthy and came home on sunday morning.

The twins graduated andwere promoted to an Orange Belt in Karate last night. The ceremony was held at the Lynchburg Moose Lodge and the place was pack full. Here is a video of one of their demonstrations.

I haven't had time to post anything for a while as my family has been so busy. I feel so sorry for people who are always blogging. They must have nothing more to do and too much time on their hands. I'm so glad that our life is filled with so many exciting things that we don't have to sit on our computers constantly and do this.

First of all I would like to congratulate Seth and Sienna on their upcoming accomplishments.

The twins will graduate with an Orange Belt in Karate on Thursday, March 29 at the Lynchburg Moose Lodge sponsored by the FEK Martial Arts School . All of our family members are usually present to see them promoted. They will also demonstrate some of the martial arts moves/

Their instructor works with them three days a week and said they were doing exceptionally well. We are very proud of both of them. Mom will start back at the end of April, Yes she is working on a black belt also, along with Noah and myself. The fee is $319.00 a month if anyone is interested and this is the best Martial Arts school in Lynchburg.

In other news, Mom just started having braxton hicks contractions so the baby could be deliver earlier than April 6th. Other wise she is active than ever and is doing really well. People keep asking if she is going to have anymore children. Ten years ago in 2002 we met a Vietnam doctorate student at Liberty University. He stayed with us on weekends and holidays and became a family friend who continued to stay in touch. He prophesied that my parents would have seven more children and mom thought he meant that the children she already had and he replied "No Betty", You are going to have seven more, possibly two sets of multiples he continued. Mom told him that a doctor in Lynchburg told her it was too dangerous for her to have any more c section so it was impossible. It was not until 2005 we had girls day out and we told mom she should have another baby and we wanted another sibling so she made an appt with a doctor at Duke the next day. They did a Laporscopy and told her that her uterus looked perfect and IVF would be her best result so she did some research and found a clinic in Raleigh who ran another $10,000 worth of test and said she was in perfect health and they accepted her into the clinic. My parents had to end of paying over $25,000.00 just for the cycle but surprisingly at her six week ultrasound the doctor told her she was having triplets. We were so shocked and excited. Sadly one of them didn't make it but the twins were born healthy in 2006 with no complications and they have been such a joy every day. Mom lost a baby in 2007, Noah was born in 2008, Mom lost another baby in 2009, each through science, Luke was born in 2010 she lost another baby in the same sac as Levi and Levi will be born in 2012 which makes five. There are six frozen embryo left so if my parents decides on thawing them and having them transfer this could be the possibly seven. Mom only told this story once to a minister and he thought this story was so amazing that he shared it with his church on several occasions and he said he wanted to meet the guy and fly him to Oklahoma as a guest speaker. He also said that this story has blessed his life more than any he has heard.

Most people invest their money into pleasures like vacations, new homes, cars, boats, material istic things and ect. My parents have said this over and over again, the best investment they have ever made is having more children even if it cost them a fortune, its worth every penny.

Baby Levi Micah-Isaiah Eades will be here in just three short weeks. Mom went to the doctor today for a

follow up appointment and he said things are looking really well for mom and baby. He will be born via C section on April 6, 2012.

Pictured is Gabriel's and Mandees baby ultrasound. Mandee lost the baby last week and underwent surgery on Tuesday. She was hemorrhaging so much after surgery that she had to be admitted to the hospital for a second surgery on the same day. Please keep Gabriel and Mandee in your prayers.

Karate videos.. Seth and Sienna will have a graduation ceremony to be promoted to an orange belt on March 29th. They will be in testing until then and will demonstrate the news things they have learned.

Noah will start taking karate in April and he is looking forward to it. .

Seth, Sienna, Luke and Noah really enjoyed making this snowman. His eyes are broccoli and he has a carrot for his nose and a banana for his mouth. He is also carrying a pot with bird feed for the birds.

Mandee and Gabriel lost their baby on February 15, 2012. People are telling Mandee "you are so young so you can have all the children you want" Even thougth she's only 21, she really wanted this baby, the one she was carrying.

Suri.. Suri is known to Luke as the Toe Monster. She has the strongest teeth and she uses them to bite Luke's toes. If you think this is funny, how would you like having your toes bitten by a baby toe monster? It really hurts.

The pursuit of happiness is a matter of choice.. it is a positive attitude we consciously choose to express. It is not a gift that gets delivered to our doorstep each morning... nor does it come through the window. And I am certain that our circumstances are just a small part of what makes us joyful. If we wait for them to get just right, we will never find lasting joy.

The pursuit of happiness is an inward journey. Our minds are like programs, awaiting the code
that will determine behaviors, like bank vaults awaiting our deposits. If we regularly deposit positive, encouraging, and uplifting thoughts, if we continue to bite our lips just before we begin to grumble and complain, if we shoot down that seemingly harmless negative thougtht as it germinates, we will find that there is much to rejoice about.
